Josh Barro
Associate Attorney
Josh Barro is an Associate Attorney focusing in defending and expanding the rights of employees, supporting progressive causes in political law matters, and defending the rights of tenants.
Before joining BMS, Josh was a Staff Attorney with the Tenant Eviction Assistance Project at Community Legal Services, focusing on tenant defense and housing stability in Phoenix, Arizona. His practice involved successfully defending tenants at eviction hearings and trials, resulting in case dismissals and favorable judgments.
While a law student, Josh gained practical experience as a Legal Intern at the Regional Public Defender for Capital Cases in San Angelo, Texas, and through participating in the Election Law Practicum with the Campaign Legal Center in Washington, D.C. He also served as a Judicial Intern for the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of Arizona in Pinal County, conducting research on upcoming trials, sentencing guidelines, and applicable law in other jurisdictions.
Before completing his legal studies, Josh worked as a Legal Assistant at Gordwin Law. He also served as a substitute teacher for Phoenix Union High School District and as an Assistant Football Coach at Corona del Sol.
