Josh Barro
Associate Attorney
Josh advocates for employees' workplace rights in employment discrimination and unpaid wages claims. He also furthers the firm's mission of advancing its clients' progressive causes.
Before joining Barton Mendez Soto, Josh was a Staff Attorney with the Tenant Eviction Assistance Project at Community Legal Services, focusing on tenant defense and housing stability. He successfully defended tenants in eviction hearings and trials.
While a law student, Josh was a Legal Intern at the Regional Public Defender for Capital Cases in San Angelo, Texas, and participated in the Election Law Practicum with the Campaign Legal Center in Washington, D.C. He also served as a Judicial Intern for the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of Arizona in Pinal County, conducting research on upcoming trials, sentencing guidelines, and applicable law in other jurisdictions.
Before completing his legal studies, Josh worked as a Legal Assistant at Gordwin Law. He also served as a substitute teacher for Phoenix Union High School District and as an Assistant Football Coach at Corona del Sol.
