Monse Vejar

Legal Secretary

Monse Vejar serves as Barton Mendez Soto’s Legal Secretary. She brings years of administrative experience in the public and private sector to further the firm’s mission. A Tucson native and graduate of Salpointe High School, Monse is committed to Arizona and improving the lives of its working people.

Her career in public service included working for 4 years as a Deputy Clerk for the Maricopa County Clerk of Court, where she learned the ins and outs of court filings and the processes that are so important for ensuring a client’s case does not get hung up in red tape. Working for 7 years as a Judicial Assistant in Maricopa County Superior Court, Monse gained valuable insight into the inner workings of judicial chambers—from a procedural and interpersonal perspective.

In addition to her public sector work, Monse has been the sole Legal Secretary at a private law firm since 2017. In that capacity she oversees filing numerous pleadings in state and federal court, both trial and appellate levels, including all associated processes from coordinating service and discovery to assisting with post-judgment collection.

Monse is also fluent in Spanish and has served as an interpreter, making her a vital part of Barton Mendez Soto’s ability to serve Spanish speaking clients.
