Arizona Sick Time Violation Lawyer

Violations of Arizona's Paid Sick Time Benefit

Arizona’s Fair Wages and Healthy Families Act establishes the statewide minimum Earned Paid Sick Time benefit in Arizona.  You are entitled to 1 hour of paid sick leave for every hour you work.  This is true for part-time workers and temporary workers. Furthermore, if your employer takes action against you within 90 days of your using your sick time, your employer will be liable for taking that action, unless your employer can prove it was not retaliation—once again, the burden will be on your employer to prove it was not retaliation.

We have experience recovering benefits for employees when their employers try to claim an employee is an independent contractor or employed by a contractor that works for the true employer.  If you believe you are being cheated out of your Earned Paid Sick Time, or being retaliated against for using this benefit, you should set up a consultation with our attorneys.
